Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was truly a fantastic booky excluding the epilogue (which killed everything that I had my hopes up for). There were so many deaths that made me depressed and I had to gradually let that sink in. My favorite quote was "Look...at...me..." I'm not going to say who said that incase other people haven't read it yet. But that was the most beautiful/sad/touching part EVER! Especially when you find out why he/she said that. 'Tis the end has come to the greatest books of all time. I have finally accepted it.
The heat here in SoCal is unbearable. I've been hanging out at the bookstores looking at cook books...and I've spending all of my money...Total amount in wallet: $8. Sad, but true.
My mum's friend took us out for lunch on July 20th. P.F. Chang's is a fab place to go to when one is with carnivores. Vegan friendly! My mum & her friendy poo had some yummy (yet not veg friendly) desserts.
I got really wok happy. I made some Bok choy & mushroom with some olivey noodles. But the best of all the woky things that I made was this kick*ass stir-fry that my dad couldn't stop raving about. Secret ingredients? If you really want to know, you can send me an e-mail begging and pleading that you need to know what they are because you're going to die without knowing. Sorry...it's something I don't want floating around everywhere and people claiming it as theirs.
I haven't been very tidey in my room...which is a huge no*no. Cleanliness is the way to be (especially in the kitchen!)
Now...my "friends"..including my "best friend" have pissed me off like no other. So I am in no contact with them what-so-ever. And they seem to not care. And that is why I hate it here in SoCal. Everyone is so fucking selfish and materialistic that they don't see that there is more to be a friend than going out to shop.
Which brings me to talk about ...I might be moving to Portland, Oregan. Ya! I'm getting *sick* of the people here, not to mention the weather. My parents are getting tired of it here too. We're going on a research trip there in December & if all is well, then we sell the house...hopefully by June and it's off to a new beginning. I really hope it happens.
Forgot to mention that my summer class (sociology) was extremely I'm-going-to-place-my-head-on-the-desk-and-sleep-but-I-can't-because-there's-10,000-notes-to-take-and-I-have-a-quiz-tomorrow-boring. There was some interesting info, but most was blah blah blah. Now I have one more year to finish up at my community college and it's off to the big 4 year (woo...).
Anywho, I'm pretty sure that's everything in a nutshell. I hope my fellow bloggers are doing well!
