Transformers! More than meets the eye!

Woot Woot! Transformers was freaking awesome (I saw it on 4th of July)! What creeped me out was that my mummy turns out to be a Transformers geek. Yeah. Did not expect it at all. We weren’t that late when we arrived at the theater, but it was packed! It was the first time that I sat in a side chair (you know the ones that only have two seats in a row), but it was all good.

Oh and I also saw Michael Moore’s Sicko. It’s definitely worth watching. Now I want to move out of the US and go live in Europe. The movie really opened my eyes to the insurance crap. I think it’s so sad how the world only revolves around sex, money, and power.

NOW! HARRY POTTER!!!

I’m so stoked!!! I think I’ve lost my mind by waiting for-EVER for this book! If you don’t mind I will nerd you out with some Harry Potter convo (oh, and I need to mention that HP the movie didn't come out on the 13th but on the 11th. Damn people who tell me wrong info that make me sound stupid. I will be watching sometime soon, by myself because people are way to busy to see it with me so screw them, and I will be giving my full hearted review soon).

Ok…here’s some very interesting facts that you may or may not have realized throughout the Harry Potter books:

*J.K. Rowling took parts of the words Quaffle (Qu), Bludger (d), and Snitch (itch) to make up the word Quidditch

*If you rearrange Severus Snape’s name it becomes Perseus Evans…Lily Evans—any connections???

*In OotP, Harry’s first stay at Grimmauld Place, the entire house sits down to eat dinner, which equaled to a total of 13 people. Remember when Professor Twelawney stated in PoA that the one who rises first from the table of 13 will die? Well sure enough…“Sirius started to rise from his chair.” <----it’s when he was arguing with Molly Weasley Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

*This one is uber duber freaky…In St. Mungo’s when they were going to visit Mr. Weasley- “They climbed a flight of stairs and entered the ‘Creature-Induced’ corridor, where the second door on the right bore the words ‘DANGEROUS’ DAI LLEWLLYN WARD: SERIOUS BITES.’” If you put these words from the sign on paper straight down, they would read:

Creature-Induced Injuries

Dangerous

Dai Llewellyn Ward

Serious Bites

Now, take the first word of each of the lines above and read them…Creature Dangerous Dai Serious…In English: Kreacher dangerous, Die Sirius (Eeeeeek!)

Few of my favorite quotes from Harry Potter:

*“It is Uranus my dear,” said Professor Trelawney peering down the chart.

“Can I have a look at Uranus too, Lavender?” –Ron

*“Dobby knows, sir! Harry Potter has to go into the lake and find his Wheezy—”

“Find my what?”

“—and take his Wheezy back from the merpeople!”

“What’s a Wheezy?”

*“You don’t want to bottle up your anger like that, Harry, let it out,” said Fred, beaming. “There might be a couple people 50 miles away who didn’t hear you.”

*“Ah, well, people can be stupid abou’ their pets.” –Hagrid

*“If you want to know what a man’s like, take a good look at how he treats his inferior, not his equals.” –Sirius Black (RIP)

*“You might even have a scar now, if you’re lucky…that’s what you want, isn’t?” –Harry to Ron (I think that was a really intense confrontation between Harry and Ron)

Are you growing bored? Back to reality, I suppose…

I’ve been thinking about becoming an art director (and saving my money to open a vegan bakery). Well, you have to work your way up, but when you reach the peak…you make a crap load of money. It starts at $75,000. Woo! This is about the 50 millionth time I’ve changed my career goal. I wonder what’s next? The president. I hate being so confused about my future. I feel like a lost little puppy with no where to go.

I painted my jewelry box…

I hope you got to see Live Earth. AFI!!! Ya. The definition of beauty (AFI, I mean). I’ve been thinking about the whole cause of Live Earth…and yeah, great cause…but you know eating animals isn’t really helping the environment…is it? I mean all the food that you’re feeding the animals that have been viciously treated, you could be feeding the homeless and those who are in Africa (and basically everyone who is less unfortunate all around the world). That’s something that Al Gore should think about as well and not just global warming (Yes, sir! That’s a hugemungo issue, but so is keeping this environment alive with healthy human beings and non-suffering animals).

My mum was cleaning out her room and found some of my old calligraphy projects. I was always the “that girl” who never went with what the teacher instructed. I loved to come up with something totally original so then mine won’t blend in with the other people’s works. My teacher really appreciated it too. She’s the one that encouraged me to go on to an art school because she said that I have so much talent bottled up inside of me that I have to share it with the world. I have to say, she is one of favorite teachers thus far. I did all the background stuff for the Horoscope chart (with the sponged stars) and the Christmas one was my idea too.

We were supposed to write a poem or whatever we wanted with any border we chose that she had laid out on the table. I asked her if she had any Christmas ones, and from there people copied me (grrr…).

There was also this booklet that I made that extended over 12 pages (which she assigned it to be 6 pages) done all in calligraphy based on Green Day (all this Green Day stuffies was because it was their peak of the American Idiot era. I usually go all out for my bandy bands when they’re having their new albums out. I’m a huge band junkie. No, American Idiot was not my first Green Day CD, so don’t get the impression that I’m one those prissy chicks that only like popular rock bands).

Anywho, all the picture ones that don’t seem to be dealing with calligraphy are actually pictures made of words (lyrics to be exact). My teacher was so shocked that they didn’t have the original picture taped behind them to make the written picture look clearer.

Yes, I am good aren’t I? I’m just kidding, I’m not an arrogant bitch. I question myself all the time why it looks like crap and the next thing you know I get all these “ooo’s” and “ahhh’s” and I have to take one step back to see what the hell they’re talking about. My mum’s friend is an art teacher and she told me when she was looking at some of my work, “Your work is phenomenal and flawless, all you need is confidence in yourself. You need to say to yourself that what you do is fantastic.” I guess…I dunno. It’s hard to see my work as BAM! I just say that I tried my best and I’m not working on it anymore. I see the flaws and crappiness of it and I can’t see past it. But, I still love anything dealing with art. It brings me to life. I can actually express myself and what goes on in my head is poured into what I’m working on. It’s the greatest feeling. It’s like an out-of-the-body experience.

I think the reason why I put my work down so much is due to the fact that when I see other people’s works, I think to myself mine is poop compared to theirs and I feel slightly ashamed of what I have created. I need to learn to love what I do, because if I don’t know one will.

So I leave you here till next time (hopefully not so long from now!)
